TOP 100 award: Ranga Yogeshwar honours Strohäker’s innovative strength
Überlingen – Congratulations for the innovation forge: Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates Gebr. Strohäker GmbH & Co. KG from Jettingen on its success at the TOP 100 awards ceremony, which will take place on Friday 27 June in Mainz as part of the German SME Summit for all SMEs that were awarded the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist will accompany the innovation competition, which is being held for the 32nd time, as a mentor. In the scientific selection process, Strohäker was particularly impressive in size category B (51 to 200 employees in Germany) in the innovation success category.
The TOP 100 company portrait published on the occasion of the award states:
Crumbling carriageways and defective pipes cost time and nerves. Gebr. Strohäker GmbH & Co. KG has been meeting such challenges for over 60 years with customised services in civil engineering and road construction. From pipeline and sewer construction to rainwater retention basins and complete road renovation, the team takes care of every step. Because everything is coordinated internally, clients benefit from clear schedules and speedy processes. This means that transport routes and utilities remain usable in the long term.
In 1961, brothers Wilhelm, Paul, Fritz, and Erich Strohäker began renting out rollers and crawler excavators. Just a few years later, this business developed into a recognized road construction company. Today, Markus, Michael, and Robin Strohäker are the third generation to run the company. More than 100 employees handle tasks ranging from excavation and shaft construction to the final paving. Thanks to short decision-making processes and an open training culture, practical solutions are achieved even for complex construction projects.
Open culture, digital strength
One hallmark is the openness to new ideas: Every suggestion from the team goes directly to management, who immediately decide on a trial budget. One of these processes gave rise to “SuperSiteSkills,” a knowledge platform with practical video content for the construction industry. It helps career changers and foreign-language workers quickly gain confidence, while experienced employees systematically expand their knowledge. “For me, innovation means not complaining about unsatisfactory facts, but wanting to do something about them. Only with this drive can new things emerge that can bring about real improvements and ensure long-term success,” explains Robin Strohäker, partner and managing director. At the same time, advanced machinery reduces physical strain and focuses on precision. This combination of digital training and modern equipment increases the operational capability of the entire team and keeps the company constantly at the cutting edge.
Building holistically – securing the future
In addition to training courses, the family business consistently offers a complete package in civil engineering and road construction. From excavation to the final asphalt surface, the team handles all work steps from a single source. Frictional losses are eliminated, and adherence to deadlines and transparency are increased. This allows demanding projects such as stormwater retention basins or shaft structure renovations to be completed without delay. This benefits not only municipalities and industry, but also private clients, who can rely on short routes and clear calculations. In this way, the medium-sized company, now in its third generation, strengthens its position in the market and creates future-proof roads that safely connect regions.
